Iron Man was very excellent. I'm going to see it again tomorrow. If you haven't seen it yet, stay until the end of the credits when you do go to see it. ♥

Yay! I'm glad to hear that a) it was good and b) you had fun! I expect I'll be seeing it sometime in the next few weeks. Also, in light of your icon-- I just spent the last 2.5 hours listening to all of my Mountain Goats on repeat while painting a bunch of swastikas.

Ok, technically I was painting swastikas that have been graffiti-ed over. But still.

Why am I up at 3:52am?

I've now seen it twice, once with my brother, and once with alfadir. Enjoyable both times. I liked the part with the flamethrowers. And lots of other parts.

You're up at 4am because you've been painting swastikas! Fool! Speaking of John Darnielle, however, I've ordered his book online and shall soon be reading about a Sabbath album through the eyes of a 15-year-old mental patient, via Darnielle's brain. Yup. *pats Darnielle's brain*

Loved Heretic Pride when I listened to it the first few times. Have just rediscovered it and am on repeat # 5 in the last 48 hours or so. In addition to "Autoclave," I'm particularly in love with "So Desperate," "How to Embrace a Swamp Creature" and "Marduk T-Shirt Men's Room Incident." Yay for the iTunes repeat button.

Also-- introduced Ashley to fanvids tonight. YAY. We watched a couple Firefly vids, including "Must Be Dreaming," "Serenity," and "Harder to Breath" as well as a handful of DW vids you'd sent my way a while back. Oh, and the "Bad Touch" SG-1 vid so I could explain how people thing Jack and Daniel have rampant sex whenever the camera pans away from them.

And then I just had to show her Blackpool. She flailed.

*rubs hands together and laughs maniacally*

JELUZ! ALthough I'm glad to hear it was awesome-- hoping to see it on Sunday.

:/ I got rid of my RDJ icon long ago. This makes me sad.

Let me know what you think of it: it's a bit light on the character depth and heavy on the OMG ROBOTS (and seems to jump into post-asshole Tony Stark comic continuity). But oh god there is much arm porn. RDJ arm porn, at that.

Your lack of icon-y makes me sad, too. I have a Kiss Kiss Bang Bang poster on my wall. But no icon...

WHOOO! IRON MAN'S FUCKING METAL! WHOOOO!

*ahem*

So you're probably not even home yet, but I was going over my old notes and I'm pretty sure the prototype game I had planned would be very much to your liking. I can email you a primer and/or you can drop by whenever you want and I can pitch it.

I will give you two teasers:

Steampunk Napoleon and 'Aetheric Lances'.

Email primer works 'cause I've Got Shit On until Friday.

But. "Steampunk Napoleon" is a big yes, 'cause now I didn't spend lots of hours reading Patrick O'Brian novels for nothing. I know what a jib is!

C'mon - I saw it twice and didn't have to line up either time. Who lines up for a movie? LAME.

Next week: Speed Racer. :D
