*Jealous!* We got some dusting/flurries but it never sticks. Seriously, I go to school in the mountains, folks. Half the reason I came here was for the snow. Come on, Weather Gods, what kind of sacrifice does it take?
Well, yes, I do realize that I'm not getting real snow down here. I once knew what that was like, living in Maine. Every winter I have to live vicariously through my Uncle's unrelenting weather reports. From what I've heard and what I've read, we used to get a good enough bit of snow every winter down here. According to graphs and word-of-mouth, my freshman year marked the mildest winter by far in about seven or eight years. It hasn't gotten much better since, though it is supposed to be slightly improved this year. Basically, global warming is undeniable even if it has snowed a couple of times in November and before Thanksgiving. pfffft.
Oh, here's hoping. The long-range forecast isn't promising, but what do they know? Just about freezing and no snow could just as well mean just below freezing with snow. There should be flurries right through to Friday, with sun the rest of the weekend. Not complaining about the sun, believe me. But crazy-carpeting would be made of much win.
There was a song from some children's performers called "I Am A Robot" that I was obsessed with when I was six. The full chorus is: "I am a robot/Computerized stranger/Electrified hairdo/Zat zat zat zat zat zat"
The call-and-response to that is burned into my brain.
*nodnod* It came with a vengeance to the Island... not much snow but it seems overnight the weather shifted from "it's fall, you'll need a light jacket" to "holy crap freezing". I'm still hoping it'll go back to being warm - being a pedestrian in winter sucks!
