charloween: (pure style)

...

I've switched lj clients! I'm now using Semagic (found through [livejournal.com profile] ljwin32_sema), instead of the one I've been using since 2003. Oooh, this one lets me save drafts. Shiny!

Here's the deal: I want to play DDR. Problem is, I don't have any of the needed equipment. No PS2, no pads, no game.

So I'm looking to the f'list: is there anyone out there who has some/most/any of the bits needed to DDR, and who would be willing to give/sell them to me? Friends, friends-of-friends, people you mugged on their way to the pawn shops... Even if you saw the bits in a hock shop somewhere (...in Toronto, please) that you can point me to, that would be excellent.

I've never owned a gaming console in my life, so I'm not really sure where to start on this. I've posted something on the "Items Wanted" section of the Toronto Craigslist, I'm looking through eBay now, but I'd really like to spend as little money on this because (a) I have no money and (b) I'm a student and I have no money. But we can negotiate.

I understand you can get the adapter-doodle to play on the computer, which would also be cool. But still, no pads and no adapter, so no action there.

This is no way motivated by the fact [livejournal.com profile] philthe25th, Logan, Alex and I all skipped out on the 2nd half of Canadian Cinema to "get drinks", realized it was pub night and there were lineups for alcohol and we ended up playing DDR. The DDR 17:UltraMaxExtreme or whatever it was has "Jerk it Out" on it. Phil and I pretended we were in an ipod ad. Win!

ETA: And [livejournal.com profile] philthe25th kicked all our asses. Boy can *dance*.
