In Kelly Osbourne: Turning Japanese, our heroine gets taken to an anime convention. They convince her to go in costume. Once there, she claims she doesn't get it and proceeds to freak right out.

Afterwards, in the car, she confesses, "I felt like I was role-playing in a porn for cartoons."

...Maybe she does get it after all.
