Last night was very enjoyable; the vampire movies were watched (somewhat), the food was consumed (...except for that bizarre pork stuff that was basically hot and sour soup but without the soup), and pleasant company was enjoyed. In attendence were (in order of appearance) [livejournal.com profile] aoshi and her Boy, [livejournal.com profile] shady_lane, [livejournal.com profile] philthe25th and [livejournal.com profile] vans_angel, [livejournal.com profile] serrico, [livejournal.com profile] psychomax and [livejournal.com profile] firstgold.

Highlights included [livejournal.com profile] shady_lane's constant OMGWTF reactions to Interview with the Vampire, [livejournal.com profile] philthe25th's running commentary of "that's not how it was in the book" during the same film, and [livejournal.com profile] firstgold's tasty tasty tasty round of Bloody Mary Winchesters. There was also agreement that meek&passive!Pasdar in Near Dark isn't nearly as appealing as cunning&sly!Pasdar in Profit and Heroes. However. There's nothing wrong with gleefully cheesy films. Especially when you don't bother to pay attention to the plot (I'm talking to you, Lost Boys).

All in all (skittle-tossing aside...) it was a fitting send-off to the craphole apartment Hobbit Hole! Thank you all for coming, for bringing your wit and snacks, and for making me laugh so hard it hurt.

...

This morning, I quipped to [livejournal.com profile] firstgold that since Lego Star Wars II was designed for 10-year-olds the mission objectives were pretty darned easy. I was eating my words by the time we'd slunk to the intarwebs to look up a walkthrough. *facepalm* Futher proof I'm no gamer and should keep in mind the List Of Things To Not Hold Opinions On. (Said list includes hockey teams and most forms of polite social interations).
