Three things (more later):
1. Edward James Olmos wore a pink polo shirt on Sunday. For a variety of reasons, including that one, he's my Favourite Person of the weekend.
2. Hard Core Logo fans tend to be in their mid-20s, male, and wear all black. I was wearing baby blue, am female, and was far more bubbly than other people in line.
2b. Terrifying paradigm shift: the high-schoolers in line behind me to meet Hugh Dillon didn't know he used to be in a band, had never heard of Hard Core Logo and only knew him as the dad from Durham County.
3. Tim Sale's assistant comes a very close second for Favourite Person of the weekend. There was no reason for him to get Tim Sale to sign my copy of The Long Halloween, but he did. He also remembered my name, the proper spelling and got Sale to personalize the dedication. He certainly would have been within his rights to turn away
firstgold when we showed up at the end of the con to get her Heroes book signed, but he didn't. It's people like that who make all the difference. ♥ to him and a zillion karma points.
