Mo-ti-vation? Wassat?

In the last few hours I've written 400 words of academic noodling, but I have read fic and watched a TED Talk on building a toaster from scratch (spoiler: it's even more impossible than you think). I have 4oD running in the background playing Time Team or whatever - I'm not actually watching, but the rhythm of the episode and the Excited! Archaeologist! Interviews! are a nice background noise. (What with the OMG THEY FOUND ANOTHER POTSHERD!! every 15 minutes, and all.)

This is why it takes three freaking years to write a thesis.
