Oct. 21st, 2012 11:18 amReasons to buy a new laptop:
- a new laptop wouldn't have duct tape stopping a crack on the bottom from getting longer than 4"
- a new laptop wouldn't have a slight rattle when I tilt it, it also might have a fully-functional 'o' key
- plugins wouldn't make a new laptop cry (YT stutters, DW's posting window is stuck on the rich text option except the text box isn't active and neither is the link to the html option and I'm posting this via the mobile site)
- I'd have three-and-a-half years to half-heartedly clean the screen before it got to looking as filthy as this one (srsly, next time I don't peel citrus next to the screen)
Reasons not to buy a new laptop:
- that could cost money
- the one I have mostly still works?
- picking a new one is a bother
- I like how this one has a matte screen
ETA: *shrieks, puts hands over mouth* ...*covets*
If Windows 8 is out next week, there might be a whole lot of Windows 7 ultrabooks out there. WAH. DECISIONS.
ETA, three months later: for what it's worth, I solved the problem by buying a Nexus 7 tablet and I'm finding it so useful and lovely. <3
