I've been trying to make a Heroes fanmix, but the show moves so fast that I can't keep up. Here's a taste, a snippit or teaser of one of the three mixes I've tried to put together for the show. So. Before tonight's episode, these are some of the Peter songs.
1. 30 Seconds To Mars - Battle of One; EMO! Emoness, rage and the savior/martyr thing. Plus some primal screaming. Peter's going to need to let some of that frustration out, and he sure as shootin' ain't getting laid any time soon. Poor guy. Try and stop me/ Try and save me
2. Aberdeen City - God Is Going To Get Sick of Me; more in the spiraling-to-self-destruction vein. Spend one more day backed into a corner/ The lease is up
3. Orenda Fink - Bloodline; There are some serious skeletons in the Petrelli family closet. And I don't bet for a second we know all their secrets yet. They'll take care of you/ They're still your family/ No matter what they've done to you (and there's all that hawt incesty flying stuff, too)
4. John Vanderslice - The Golden Gate; In my mind, in between beating each other with sticks, Claude and Peter would catch a glimpse of the skyline they're trying to save. (instrumental)
5. Tweaker - the house i grew up in; More time with the brothers Petrelli, this time it's late on a Sunday afternoon, two weeks after Peter's graduated from high school. (instrumental)
EDIT: added some whys and lyrics for the songs.

Okay - the tanker that passes just before our first scene with Claire and the Haitian... was from "Schwartz Oil". As is black oil? I'm calling that a shout-out and going home happy. *lolz*
NATHAN PETRELLI FOR THE WIN OH MY GOD WIN WIN WIN WIN. He's so smart and brave and noble and courageous and he'd BETTER SURVIVE THE SEASON. Adrian Pasdar's acting is love. LOVE.
And then I exploded even more because Peter DID run to his brother and he was saying goodbye and Nathan's going to Vegas and Jessica's going to get him and oh my god. *flails*
And Mohinder is smart, and is also very freaky.
Any plot contrivance that puts Nathan and Hiro together is no contrivance in my books. Plus, I'm loving how every episode shows how Nathan really does have a soft and gooey centre.
Ando continues to be my 2nd-favourite character on the show (after Nathan, of course). Everyone this episode is proving far smarter than I'd expect from TV characters. Except for HRG and Isaac. Oh, Isaac. We saw you die in the pilot. Hiro told you this. Don't be surprised. *pats Isaac*
Great casting for Linderman, the Haitian's boss is BEST EVER and I want to MARRY EVERY PETRELLI. It was so nice to see Claire run to Peter. It was FUCKING AWESOME to have unsubtitled French. It was PERFECT to have Mama Petrelli as the one pulling the strings for Claire... *zomg* I wonder if she's been the one financing Fire-Mommy's life in Mexico.
And the ending? Ha! HAHAHAHAHAHA! The lone lock of hair! Falls to the floor in slo-mo! Poor Peter... Is it wrong I was bouncing in my chair, chanting to the empty room "Peter vs Sylar! Peter vs Sylar!"? Maybe? Oh, Peter. Maybe I just want to see the comedy routine of Sylar trying to unzip Peter's head and Peter healing it and then Sylar unzipping again and Peter healing it again and Mohinder's still stuck on the ceiling. *snerk*
