funfunfun!
Apr. 22nd, 2004 09:37 amLast night was the opening of the O'Neil production of Fiddler on the Roof.
I am le amazed. Reed can sing and act and... wow-ness. That one bit that Meg and I saw last week was the first number of the play and it's a lot better now. It's just a high school play, but I've seen far worse and by golly this one was acutally very good. Yay for Reed! I'm proud of my little brother. I get to see it again tomorrow night with various elderly relatives and my mum's sister from BC that I really haven't seen in 10 yrs.
Reed's done a lot of work on his comedic timing - there are a couple of quite brilliant moments. that made us larf a lot. He also gets the character (more than some of the kids up there with him) and actually gets some depth to the man. Funniest moment: there's a love song between Reed (Tevye, the main character) and Tevye's wife of 25 yrs (played by his good friend) and you could see both of them trying to keep a straight face.
Tres amusant.
