Tomorrow I will:

- read all the stuff I need to read to prepare for next week check.
- type something (anything) for the take-home exam
- disappear into the Reference Library and get background on the horror genre in television there isn't any info. *grumbles*
- continue to avoid the biomedicine paper of unending doom (well, that's an easy one)

Yaaaaaay for avoiding work! Of course, I wouldn't know anything about that. Not at all. 'Cause I always write all my papers well before they are due. ANd I never wait until the last minute. Never. Never ever.

I have Saturday and Sunday still. I can get some of this done. I am not procrastinating. I have Saturday and Sunday still. I can get some of this done. I am not procrastinating.

Problem is, I just took another knitting commission. Now I can be productive and knit for money while I'm watching TV and not doing school stuff. Dug me own grave there.

I keep not buying Black Books, but I think I'm going to have to eventually.

Happy watching! (And cute icon, too!)

Thanks! It was made by my friend [livejournal.com profile] gollummyers. Oh man. I am bursting with Firefly/Suikoden/knitting love right now!

I found a pattern to knit rockstar dolls, and it would be so easy to adapt that to make little knit Bernards...

Or little knit Firefly characters ... or, err, anime/manga characters too!

I was trying to figure out how to do the hawaiian shirt design for a Wash doll.

Oh god. Now I have to figure out how to knit the crew. This is going to be *great*! Hee!

Where did you find the pattern? My housemate (Leslie) has a pattern to knit a little astronaut doll, and once we're back in Guelph, I'm going to borrow the book from her so I can alter the astronaut pattern to make Space!Mal, Zoe, Jayne, River, and Simon!

Stitch N Bitch Nation has the rockstar dolls: http://www.bust.com/knithappens/44.gif, but I'm not sure if the cost of the book would be worth the one pattern, so I'm going to use all my free time (*snerk*) to find another pattern.

It's still a bit beyond me, though. I haven't made anything where I've had to increase or decrease...

I can copy the doll pattern out of Leslie's book and e-mail it to you once my reading week is over. Increasing/decreasing isn't too bad. I like decreasing better, but that is just me. We can increase our geekiness factor exponentially if we bring knitting to Epic Duels day, and I can show you some of the increases and decreases I know.

I knit all through the last Epic Duels day. I got quite a lot done, too. If I may slip into women's studies scholar mode for a sec, it's phenominally cool that we'll be able sit around and talk knitting, in a university, while playing a tabletop game geared towards geeky boys. Three cheers for feminism!

Anyway. Yes, that'll be cool if you wouldn't mind showing me a few tricks (or, like, basics...).

No problem! I don't mind at all.

And joining you in the women's studies scholar mode, it is also phenominally cool that I sit and knit in my engineering classes which have historically been reserved for males.

I agree with the three cheers for feminism. Leslie and I plan on each burning a bra before we graduate.

I did that once. Well. By mistake, anyway.

We definitely plan on doing it on purpose. And I plan on documenting the event with photographs :)
