Wolfville was amazing, the wedding was amazing, seeing Ian and Zanne again and meeting all their friends was amazing.

The trip was essentially an almost-week of intense hanging out and relaxing in the middle of the swirling chaos of Wedding and assorted other stuff that they're not going to tell their parents until they get back home from the honeymoon. They've got a great circle of friends who were more than happy to give me the time of day. There weren't any antics (except for diablo juggling, but that was only an hour and I only learned one little throw and doesn't count at ALL), just chilling. And really fantastically great food. Even for breakfast. Mark makes a mean french toast, let me tell you.

Details, details. The bride was lovely, the groom was in a kilt and his "I do" was equal parts "DUH" and "Hey, sure, sign me up for that! Sounds good!" The weather was great, most of the guests were family, and the 15 of us that weren't made awkward conversation and drank our wine like good little friends.

The weather was so nice. It was 40-ish when I left Toronto, and was in the mid-20s the entire time I was in Nova Scotia. I really, REALLY like Nova Scotia. The people, the conversations, the organic garlic... all of it, love.

And finally (finally!) I got to meet xtinethepirate after hearing about her for two years. We've been hearing about each other, actually, and it was nice to realize that we did in fact get along.

The best thing about my birthday this year is the party will be a no-brainer. We're going to order pizza and watch the SPN season premiere! -- which will work out better for my mental health than last year's strange birthday coincidence, which was an advance screening of Serenity. *whimper*

Um. What else. I found the clip you were talking about, with the jumping-in-Jared's-arms and all. V. cute, v. funny. I also found a cute clip of Jensen fangirling Dean.

You must remind me, at some point when I'm not doing this from a hotel in Kingston, to send you the UK ad for season 1 of SPN. It's....... guuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuunnnnnnnnnhhhhhhhhhh hot. Like OMG my computer melted, hot. Dean stads outside looking dour and smokes a cigarette, while Sam is writhing in this chair getting sexed up by some demon running her hands all over his beautiful chest. Very aljfalbfjadlbfa!!!!!

SPN BDAYS = the love. Hahaha. That's awesome about the advance screening of Serenity as well.

Now, if you'll excuuuuuse me, I have a SPN ep to oggle... er.... WATCH.

I've seen it! It is a nice piece of... advertising. With that and the Lost promo (with them dancing on the beach) I'm interested in seeing all the other ads from ITV.

THank you for the rec! I shall ahve to look into that forthwith! *glee* And do you happen to have a link of the promo where they're dancing on the beach?? That is one that I would LOVE to see. (as it has absolutely no bearing on the plot of the show, merely the sexiness of Dean and Sam I'm sure. Which, really, IS the plot of the show, when you think about it from a fangirling point of view. That and the boisecks. ^^)

I love rageprufrock's stuff, she's done some great AUs. "Bell Curve" (SGA, McShep) is very fantastic. It works even if you've never seen a SGA ep, which is why its' so brilliant. One of those WIPs that makes you cry, "Fie! I shall never start reading a WIP again! " Etc. VERY GOOD. You can find it on her site. Or here (http://glitterati.illuminatedtext.com/vday/bellcurve.html). Not with the SPN, but with the boisecks, as you say. She's also written **Bruno and Boots** fic (...eep). Which I've never read. Because Bruno and Boots were JUST BEST FRIENDS WHO DID EVERYTHING TOGETHER and even though they were at an all-boys school WERE NOT "DOING IT" (...eeeeep). :)

Aaaaand the Lost promos, which have not so much to do with SPN, but share the fact they kinda-sorta relate to the shows they are promoting if only because it features the same cast. And they aired in Britain. Promo 1 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rBVN6L4Cv-o) (strange, stylish, but *meh*), Promo 2 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9DK3t7-CH38) (Portishead song! and it manages to tell more about the character relationships than the one with the whisper voiceovers).
