Strange Day

Today was odd - I think it was the fault of my playlist. For future reference, listening to a mix of Frank Zappa, Warren Zevon and Fall Out Boy (and that Justin Timberlake song "Sexyback") for 7 hours... maybe not the best idea. Okay, there was a little Paul Simon in there, too, but that's only because "Diamonds on the Soles of Her Shoes" is totally a Lily/Weevil song.

But then I went and met my college's new Master, and he was pretty cool. He seems to be a romantic humanist. For example, he says that humans developed culture as a defense mechanism against the harsh, destructive world.

You have all this digital music at your fingertips and you press a "random play" button and you realize that techonolgy is much more interesting choices of music than if you listen to the radio and are subjected to that...dribble
