This morning was the first round (or the second round, I guess, if the online was the first round) the next round of the So You Want To Be A Don! sweepstakes. I have no idea how I did, but at the very least I think I accurately represented myself. I didn't run in, scream about aliens eating Central Square and spray everyone with a fire extinguisher (though that would have been so much fun). Other than that, I'm entirely incapable of evaluating my performance. Parts were great fun, parts were entirely stressful, and other parts left me wishing, hoping and praying that Don training would cover some of that because Holy Moses I have no idea what to do there.

I do know that one of the places I applied isn't actually accepting any new applicants because it turns out all their dons are returning next year. *shakes fist*

The problem is that all the issues about where I'll be living next year still have currency because now I have to wait until March 19 to find out if I'm out of the running. Until then, I can't make any plans. (*waves* at [livejournal.com profile] amyisyellow and Karen. Sorry, guys!) It doubly sucks because I need to give my landlord and roommate notice about when I'm moving, and the way the timing works on this means nothing goes smooth. Why does nothing go smooth?

In other news, I've started blogging for the University, along with about a dozen other students from different years, programs and faculties. The "Experience York" blogs will give York's future and prospective students a taste of what our lives are like as typical York students.

Heh.

That punchline writes itself.

Shaun's lease is until August anyway, so it's not really a rush since he has to pay regardless of where he's staying in May, so don't worry about the two month's notice thing for your landlord. It'd be swell to know eventually though, since after august I am kind of concerned about who's living with me, but don't get stressed out on my part until... June? I hope your interview went well though. Which building isn't taking new dons?

Cool, cool. I'll let you know as soon as I find out anything. I really hate that I don't have the final answer. It's not that I'm impatient, I just don't like uncertainties. *flails*

And it's Bethune that's not hiring. BAH.

Efff Bethune grrr.

I understand about uncertainties. I'm the same way.

But who is this Karen person? Is someone trying to steal my potential roommie? Egads.

I feel so... loved! It's all so confusing, with all these possibilities! :D

She's was my best friend in high school, and she's going to need someone to sublet her place while she's on exchange this summer. It seems to make sense to me that if I get to be a Don, and if I was going to work on campus full time during the summer (true), take classes on campus during the summer (also true) then I should probably move up to campus earlier rather than later and just walk my crap over to the Don suite rather than having to enlist an army of friends to move me twice in one summer.

But again, that's only if I get the Don-job. Which after today... I don't know anymore. *curls up and cries*

(In other news, that "SOS" song by Rihanna is really kind of dull without the video.)
