I honestly can't recall when I've been this tired. I thought that last year was pretty bad, but this is insane.

There there. I propose a Mad Tea Party after all this is done. We can sit out on the commons one bright day with tea things and biscuits and all sorts of delicacies and talk utter nonsense. Thinking not required!

What do you say, hmm?

I just had this fantastic mental image of me letting the guide dog take a break on the Commons (which I often do), and her totally plowing through your tea party and snorfling down the biscuits. Ha ha!

...sorry. I have a glosa poem due in like eight hours.

We wouldn't care! It'd be perfectly mad! We would paint it with chocolate! Someone would bring chocolate fondue and barbeque brushes and we would be prepared!

I have performances due in 8 hours as well as 14 journals that I have yet to write.

Chocolate?! You would poison my guide dog, just to raise the madness quotient? Jeez! I'm-a report you to the morality police.

I refuse to work on my glosa until Sizzlers shows up with my sandwich.

I'm bad at forethought. Although killing a dog would certainly bring the tea party toward the "mad" side of things.

What on earth is a glosa poem?

It's this (http://www.criticalpoet.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=155153).

I'm using the last quatrain of Thomas's "Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night," because I'm an insane person. At least the rhyme sounds aren't too difficult. The form as a whole, though, is.

And there's no way it's going to be done for tomorrow. Oh, well.

The Thomas poem was the first piece of poetry I studied in school.

Grade 7 English rocked. We did that, Maya Angelou, Twelfth Night, Washington Irving and a whole other pile of odds and sods. *thumbs up*

*grabs picnic basket* Count me in!

The great part is that I'm going to be on campus all summer (yey for job) and can, in fact, enjoy the common all a-sunny and bright.

Hey, just give me a shout, we will have the largest picnic one could ask for! We shall have forks and sugar and tea and nice hats!

I also do massage on request, if that's useful.

I will be on campus 4/5 days every week this summer, so let's pick a day that's not cold and rainy. :)

Oh, no, you hadn't mentioned. I may show up in pants, though. When is it?

Pants strictly not permitted. If you come with pants, you will be asked to remove them or else remove yourself. I suggest preparing alternatives ahead of time.

Think May 3rd, all day, in Oshawa.

Oh, man. That's going to be hard to confirm. See, I'm moving that week, either just before the end of the month or just after and I'm going to be homeless for a week (maybe). Plus I have one of those "full time job" things. And May 2 is the Ted Leo concert. Aiie.

Everyone always makes "ooh--lucky!" type remarks when I end up on Deferred Standing, but this is exactly the reason it's not all it's cracked up to be. Yeah, I have more time, but also, I will be worrying about schoolwork through til May. That sort of cancels out any decrease in stress engendered by having extra time.

Right now? I'm avoiding working on these papers.

Yeah, to totally get you on that one. Extended due dates are painful because they prolong the school year. It's not like I asked for these later dates, either - the prof's just super disorganized and for both classes has the stuff due at the end of the month.

Sure, there's an extra five weeks to do the work, but that's five weeks I could be doing something else. Like relaxing.

My goal for this evening is to finish the My God So Very Late paper because tomorrow is, like, the last day of class. Anything later tomorrow would be really bad form.

I expect I'll give the FACS paper (due 8:30am tomorrow) one more go-through on the way home tonight and it'll be done, too. Hopefully by this time tomorrow I'll have only three papers left.

Yay for updates.

How did all the paper writing go this week? My weekend is full of studying and writing one last paper that I have no motivation for omgIwantschooltoendgoddamnit!

...

So how's your weekend looking? Hopefully less full of despair then mine.

I still have three left to do, and the one that's due Tuesday isn't so much with the getting done because there are cats and parents and LEGO STAR WARS II OMG.

I have also no motivation, but I did go out and buy LEGO STAR WARS II OMG and also kelly-green sneakers. And also a movie with Cillian Murphy, Colin Farrel and Colm Meaney.

So, not so much with the despair, so far, but also very much with the not getting any work done because of LEGO STAR WARS II OMG.

You?

I've never played Lego Star Wars, but I keep hearing rave reviews about it from everybody. Mayhaps I should see what the fuss is all about...

Which movie is this? And those kelly-green sneakers sound hot.

I haven't really done much this weekend accept watch a bunch of videos on You Tube. I watched all of The Angry Nintendo Nerd videos (that was actually really worth it and I'm glad I watched them instead of working on my paper). The paper is getting done...but slowly.

Also, I'll bring my copy of Interview on Friday so we don't have to pay for it. I'm going to see if York has Lost Boys because it's so awesome.

We can play a few rounds of the game on Friday. If you're going to be around before 6 we can definitely have some crazy Lego fun. But yeah. If it's a game I'm into, you know it's pretty damn mainstream and accessible. And fun!

The movie is called Intermission. Um... the imdb site (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0332658/). It looks kinda like a Chelsea Walls, or a poorly-executed Love Actually, with a shit-load of characters and maybe not so much plot.

Green sneakers are hot. Perhaps even hott, but the jury's still out on that one.

When I get back home tomorrow there's one other place I can look for my copies of Interview, then I'll call the friend I may have lent it to. It would be splendid if you could swing by the SMIL for Lost Boys. It looks like they've got a 3-day video version. I'm also on the waiting list for the Toronto library copy.

THIS DAY OF FUN AND RELAXATION WILL HAPPEN OR ELSE.
