Stephen Lynch is playing Toronto April 21... for $37.

Last night Mum and I were talking about maybe watching Little Miss Sunshine (which I bought for her) but we ending up playing Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy. We played for almost two hours and giggled like mad fiends the entire time. I love my mother.

Many thanks again to [livejournal.com profile] firstgold for the lift out to Brooklin. This has been one of the more relaxing weekends I've had so far in 2007. Muchos indebted, I am.

This weekend also had the first encounter of Cat vs. My New Laptop. Midge has decided that sitting on my wrists and aggressively shedding is the best way to deal with the fact I've got a computer - not a cat - warming my lap.

You live in a land of great plenty, music-wise. I live right next to NB's capital city and the closes we've ever gotten to a real concert was Snoop Dogg an hour and a half away.

I'm here, writhing with envy.

It's a killer when you don't actually have the money to see these great acts that come through. But yeah - it's so very brilliant to live in a place that's always a tour stop.

You and your mother = MY HEROES.

Lego Star Wars is such a fun game! The fact that you can go around as lego vader and pop people's arms off is so cute and wrong!

Yus! *pumps fist* Undying love status!

He's got a blue lightsabre, btw. I tried him with purple and it was all kinds of wrong.

You = win! (Always, you know?)

And I wish I had just a little more money so I could see all the shows I wanted.

I say we go. For $37.

Also, don't think I've commented -- Sarah Slean quotation on the lllivejournal title, yes?

But having no units of $37 is a barrier to said engagement. There is sadness.

And yes, the italicized bit is from "Pilgrim". The big part is from a different artist entirely. *eyebrow waggle* Can you figure it out?

It sounds familiar. Google says Bowie; it also says you omitted the echoey bits and the background vocals. Nonetheless, it excites me. Bowie has that capability.

I do enjoy a good Bowie. I'm thinking of switching it up because I've been listening to a lot of Folk Implosion lately.

Actually, I'll do that right now.

Oh, and also: I think life would be much more entertaining if we measured everything in units of $37 for a day. We shall call it a Lynchworth.

Now if you'll excuse me, I've got about half a Lynchworth to spend on this article -- about a deciLynchworth left, in terms of words.

I like that - a Lynchworth is a good, round number.
