Edit: For those on my flist who are into Robert Sean Leonard as an adorkable teen vampire, eBay has two copies of My Best Friend Is A Vampire up for sale. Just, you know, FYI.
Edit-edit:
starsoohpretty linked to this article which has caused great mirth and consternation. The part about how Straight men, it seems, have neural circuits that prompt them to seek out women; gay men have those prompting them to seek other men. Women’s brains may be organized to select men who seem likely to provide for them and their children caused the consternation, and mirth comes from the part where
starsoohpretty and I started on about Caveman Lurg and Caveman Vlurg and who was a better provider. ...okay, you had to be there.
But then I kept reading and found this part: A somewhat more straightforward clue to the origin of homosexuality is the fraternal birth order effect. Two Canadian researchers, Ray Blanchard and Anthony F. Bogaert, have shown that having older brothers substantially increases the chances that a man will be gay. Older sisters don’t count, nor does it matter whether the brothers are in the house when the boy is reared. And I'm obviously starved for more Heroes because I went immediately to Peter and Nathan. *hangs head* Yeah, probably going to the special hell.

Date: 2007-04-10 09:18 pm (UTC)There may be a wee shindig sometime in May, I'll keep you posted.
Best of luck, it sounds like a crazy-fun evening of nail polish, snarky robots and the justice system.
Me, I'm scrambling to finish this paper about how television fails as a technology (or something like that).

Date: 2007-04-11 01:25 am (UTC)And I got an 18.3/20 on my law paper. The one that I've been working on since October and spent 3 days transcribing and another three editing.
I left my room once in three days to get food... and explain St Patrick's day to Chinese exchange students. Now it makes less sense to me.
Now I must jump on the bed and scream with joy.
My toenails are red and my fingernails are the Salley Hansen "Chrome" polish in Black Pearl (it's godly)
MST3K MOVIES AWAY!!!!!!

Date: 2007-04-11 08:45 pm (UTC)It took three of us to explain St Patrick's to the Chinese exchange student in our office. It seems to involve snakes and beer and the colour green. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
I can't wait until I move and the ceilings are high enough for me to jump on my bed without fear of brain damage.
I am in awe of your godly nails. :D

One of my new favourite daily humor things, although it does tend to make one lose faith in humanity... well maybe just Americans.

Date: 2007-04-20 06:40 pm (UTC)Today I'm packing and moving, which should be
hellfun. I'm taking a bunch of stuff today, a bunch of stuff Sunday, and then the last of it all next Sunday.I may read some more of www.drmcninja.com, but maybe not.
I want to see Hot Fuzz, but I think I'll end up seeing Vacancy this weekend if end up seeing something at all. Simon Pegg was in the Dr. Who episode I watched last night. Or I'll watch Smokin' Aces again. Nice to know all this film school is giving me an educated taste in films.
And at a meeting this morning we were talking about the security/emergency procedures in case our building had to be locked down. Not fun. Been in a funny headspace all day because of it.
