Another pan-weekend update!
Jun. 28th, 2004 09:26 amFriday I worked. I'm getting sick of working.
Saturday I "slept in" until almost 9 am (*gasp*). Mum and I went shopping and I got clothing. We went to all the goth stores; Jacob, Dynamite, Fairweather (which had a massive sale...) and um... Walmart. Oh so goth. Whatever. They had black clothing and it was all on sale (*bliss*). Pants, tops, belts, a skirt... here I go in clothing I don't hate! Yay! Oh, and don't forget the sequined flip-flops. Sparkly shoes, how I do love you. If I had a digital camera I'd take pictures and post them but I don't so I can't. Trust me. Black sequined flip-flops are the shit. :)
I think it's been years since I went shopping for the hell of it. Usually I only go shopping for something I need (pants for choir, etc) and it's a chore. This shopping for the pure unadulterated capitalistic-lust joy-of-acquisition hell of it sure is fun. Sorry, I'm supposed to be all cynical and above Buying Clothing at the Mall. Head wound? Me? :P Hanging out with my mum is fun, any excuse to do so is appreciated.
I'm going to throw out more of my old clothing and old shit that I've been keeping since grade 6. Praise the landfill, too. Repository for the shite that I've been keeping hidden in boxes in the basement.
Then there's Saturday night. It was mostly enjoyable. Enjoyable for Much Loud (or is it "MuchLOUD"?) showing me the singer from Muse looks like that Doyle guy from Angel that they killed off in the first season. Enjoyable up until the point where the drinking mixed with motion sickness and I found a nice soft couch to be comatose on. It was a very nice couch. It was a surprise party and I found a kick-ass place to hide. Genius, really.
Sunday was less fun (worked 9:45-3:45). I really hate my job. Actually I hate the managers, the customers, the dress code and the pay rate. The books themselves are fairly enjoyable. They're not annoying. *sigh*
