Am not participating in 48 Hour Book Reading Challengy Thingie. Stop.

Had lunch yesterday with a friend I've not seen since 2004. Stop.

While eating, was hit on by a Welshmen named Pascal. Stop.

Is the first weekend in months upon months where I haven't had any plans. Stop. (*aaaaaaaaaaah*)

Have no idea what to buy for my Dad for his 75th birthday next month. Stop.

Addendum to previous notification: Yonge & Dundas might just be playing Wrath of Khan next Tuesday (17th). Hee!

I have no idea anymore. Phil was proposing an "Up Party" - to go see Knocked Up and Surf's Up - for maybe next weekend, too (to which you are of course invited, being one of the Usual Suspects)... *cocks head* Maybe?

I'd be in for Knocked Up but I don't have any interest in seeing Surf's Up.

We'll figure things out. *nods* I've been informed that I'm going to be very drunk at the golf tournament, because my former boss is in my golfing group. Heh.

See, I'm in for Surf's Up because it's an animated mockumentary; as a geek, that excites me. For example, how are they going to animate the camera-shakes and out-of-focus segments and boom mikes dropping into frame? Animation isn't random, so how are they going to calculate randomness? (And also Jeff Bridges does one of the voices. :D)

um. /geek?

Oh, you engineers and your golfing and your drinking and your bosses and your golfing and your engineering. Your ways are mysterious to me...

Calculating randomness isn't as hard as you think. I mean, you just kinda have to go with things and be like "Hey guys - wouldn't it be HI-larious to have a boom mike drop into frame right here?"

True, but the ability to make it seem natural (casual, perhaps) is still commendable. To give the illusion of spontaneity... I just want to see where and why they choose to make those non-mistakes. *geeks more*
