WHAT THE FUCK?!?!

CBS has fired thesps George Eads and Jorja Fox from the hit Eye drama for breach of contract according to Variety.

Show executives made the decision to sack Eads after the actor -- looking for a pay hike -- failed to show up for work Thursday, the first day of production on the new fifth season of the top-rating forensic-themed series.

Fox was actually fired Wednesday. As with Eads, insiders said her reps had been asking for more money, and the network acted after Fox failed to reply to a letter by Wednesday evening asking her if she had planned to continue to work. However, sources close to Fox said she had returned the letter and was surprised and mystified when she was fired.

A search has already begun for new thespians to join the show, with producers likely to create characters to replace those played by Fox and Eads.

Um... April Fool, right?

Gone gone gone gone gone... I figure they'll fire Sara for being a drunk (and Gris will be mopey all next season because she's gone) and Nicky will get shot by some suspect who pulls a gun on him and he starts to cry. Like all the other times.

Or Nick gets sick of being picked on and brings a rifle to work and goes nuts. Sara had the day off, but she's a drunk so they fired her anyway.

I've been watching old episodes and getting that same feeling I get when I watch old X-Files.

Really, I was hoping the season would start with a reality ripple or something, creating a timeline in which Sara and Nick never join C.S.I.

They're back on the show so it's moot.

I would have liked to see a thing like on Star Trek where they had two or three or more Enterprises all meeting because of eddies in the space-time continuum ("Eddies. In the space-time continuum." "Oh, is he?"). So on CSI you'd have Gil walking down the hall of the Labitrail and meeting... Gil, walking down the hall in the Labitrail. Et cetera. And there'd be a blonde Romulan. Yes.
