charloween: (Ianto has a plan)
[personal profile] charloween
Grad school saga update: the five school applications have all been mailed in, and I’m going to hunt down the last of my referees today to make sure he actually did mail in what he told me he was going to.

Then, I’m going to collect letters from other people, stick all the letters in the right envelopes and mail or drop off four of the five of these funding application packages. For most of them I don't think I have much of a chance, but I'd have even less of a chance if I didn't apply at all.

The one thing I have left to do, the one thing that’s causing 100% brain-farts, is the last little personal statement. It’s only 200 words, but it’s just not writing itself. Grr!

And now I'm at work (working!); now that this next-year stuff is out of the way (almost!) and I have that one offer under my belt, I can finally wrench my attention back to, like, actually graduating.

If I'm good, I can get a few of my Shakespeare assignments in the can in the next few days, and use the weekend to make proper headway on my thesis and that history research paper. Easy!

ETA: have mailed/dropped off/delivered everything. *slowly slides down the wall and slumps to the floor* Nap time.

But would Jack be George or Blackadder?

Oh dear.

George is the dim, effete aristocrat. Blackadder is the continually stymied trickster.

Jack is closer to George, in that he's less inhibited. But Blackadder is the one with whom cunning plans are discussed. Maybe we'll just stick Owen in a dress and call the whole thing an "homage".
