BSG, Bones, Leverage

On BSG 4x16:
1. Baltar's Head Six is back, making him take arms against a sea of troubles. I think James Callis missed shouting things.
2. If Lee's the presumptive future leader of humanity, shouldn't he do more in all this than stand around in a nice suit? Yes, he led loyal forces in toppling the usurper a few episodes back, but shouldn't he get more than one line? I suppose once Anders wakes up there'll be plenty of time for Lee, Kara and Anders to shout about being emo at each other.
3. "I'm going to the head. Do something constructive. A little project I've been working on..." ♥ Adama.
On Bones 4x15:
1. Bones is only a good show when Booth and Bones get to play together. This is two weeks in a row they've been apart, and the show does suffer for it. *claps hands* Shape up, show.
On Leverage 1x12:
1. Mark Sheppard's back, playing the same vaguely-cockney schemer he always plays. Maybe in part two we'll have some actual character dimensionality? But maybe not. It took a few appearances for his character on BSG to flesh out, so there is hope.
2. I was not expecting them to blow up their offices. Well played, show.
*flail*: Exec producer Dean Devlin is also the guy who wrote and produced Stargate, Independence Day and Godzilla. I... don't know what to do with that information. Leverage is totally fun, but I've got serious problems with the jingoistic crapitude of those movies.
It's a bit strange to be watching shows more-or-less as they air again.

Date: 2009-02-21 05:25 pm (UTC)And I totally started drawing parallels between Leverage and Angel.
Angel and Nate - both are broody and have addictions (Nate - alcohol, Angel - blood ... cuz, uh vampire)
Cordy and Sophie - both are horrendous actresses. They don't give their bosses an inch when it comes to their addictions.
Angel Investigations Office and Leverage Consulting Office - both get blowed up.
Leverage Consulting = Angel Investigations
I.Y.S. = Wolfram and Hart
Both shows started their first seasons as "monster-of-the-week" affairs, but begin to develop an over-reaching arc.
I'm just thinking about this too hard, aren't I? *sad face* The season finale is this week.

Date: 2009-02-21 05:56 pm (UTC)The only real difference is that the Texan works for the side of good on Leverage. I wonder if they wrote the role for Christian Kane or if it's just an uncomfortable coincidence.
They've been renewed, though, so that's good.

YAY RENEWAL!

Date: 2009-02-23 07:03 pm (UTC)They all made millions in the first episode, so even if he wasn't rich before, he is now. He also probably owns a bunch of horses. Eliot likes horses.
