Last night was fun. After rudely blowing off [livejournal.com profile] burn_tomorrow because Thursday I figured he wouldn't want to hang aorund a Ms. Grumpy (who felt like stoned warrior monkeys tapdanced on my head all night), after Friday's "Wander around and fail to check messages in time to hang out with [livejournal.com profile] amyisyellow" adventure, finally on Saturday I was able to get my act together and actually hang out with people! w00t!

one more time: w00t!

I met up with [livejournal.com profile] evil__muffin, we went Yorkdale-shopping (books, yay!) and then wandered over to the Le Chateau outlet that was having a tremendously cool sale. I managed to by xmas gift for my brother and get that $30+ 'Never Trust a Brunette" tshirt for $5 becuase they'd randomly mark things down to cheap. [livejournal.com profile] evil__muffin got some shiny stuff for not much money. We were glad. There was also a toonie store that wasn't so much a double-the-fun dollar store as a plain-old-dollar store.

Next stop: meet [livejournal.com profile] thucyken and Friend From YAMA (aka Courtney?) and Friend from YAMA but now from YUBC (I think) who's aka Mike. Then dinner. Then wandering. Then more wandering. I think almost everyone bought something from BMV or some other used book store. Nrrds!

Eventually, enough time was killed so Mike ditched us and we headed off to go CLUBBING! YEAH!

The club was closed for renovations. That killed the mood.

On the way to the club I got coffee. I suggested that we head for the Phoenix, because they play Korn sometimes on Saturdays and that was really important. We kept singing, too.

Eventually we decided to get dessert and drinks. The plan was to get girly drinks, but I'd never had a Bloody Ceasar, so that's the kind of girly-drink drinker I was. Once again, the only place I get carded is on campus. Then there were adventures with huge desserts. The resteraunt had a motion-activated paper-towel dispenser. (shiny!)

There's an arcade across the road from the big Sam's that has 2 DDR machines. None of us were drunk, just slightly relaxed, so everyone played and agreed that "gee this is fun and we have to do it again some time". I'd get the game for myself, but the cost of the TV plus the PS2 plus the game itself is still more than what I could spend in arcades. Therefore: new think for fun list = arcade with the pizza place that plays oompa music right outside. For Saturday night it was pretty not busy, too. We have to do that again.

Yes, we DEFINITELY have to do that again!

So it seems that my chances of going to see the faint are basically non-existent, but by an odd quirk, Rick (one of the guys from laser tag) is having a pumpkin-carving contest in Hamilton on the 20-somethingth, so I have a way to get to Toronto for Rasputina AND Jasper Fforde *glee*
