charloweenMum and I have been looking at CNN's Open Story/iReport photos and videos of Irene's aftermath, with Vermont and Connecticut looking like they have the most damage. (Here in TO, we got a windy afternoon out of Irene and that's all.) Without any TV signals - thank you, digital changeover! - this is the only video we'll see of the storm.
After so much devastation (houses collapsing into the ocean, ankle-deep mountain creeks turned into scary churning rivers, very big things turned into big piles of much smaller things), an earnest and well-meaning report from a graveyard caused me and Mum to collapse into inappropriate giggles:
I want to know if it's "small limbs", does that mean it's a pet cemetery? Mum wonders if they put the heads and torsos somewhere else.
And then we decided we'd probably read enough citizen journalism for the evening.
(On a serious note, I do hope everyone in the path of the hurricane and its aftermath stays safe and there's nothing left but the cleanup.)
