charloweenToday was good. I watched a few hours of VHS vids with a friend, who then watched me play some Katamari Forever and Arkham City. We also watched some of the VVC 2011 premieres, and then went back to vids from the 90s. Highlander! X-Files! Every man wearing an aran sweater!
I was overcome with the desire to remaster an amazing Pros vid with clips that don't have white VHS-fuzz bars obscuring most of the shot. My friend was overcome with a fear of 80s facial hair and man-perms. We both sang along to Celine Dion. There was much rejoicing.
Then she went to the train and I caught my bus to get to work. There were so many fireworks going off (it's the 5th November today, eh) that the ride to campus was pretty magical. As a bonus, the gig went off without a hitch, my stewards were all competent, and I had a dark chocolate Bounty bar on my break.
It was a full day.

And tomorrow my parents have a consultation with a team of geriatric specialists for Dad, and Tuesday a caseworker will go to the house; by the weekend they'll know if Dad's fit to live at home and if the house is a fit place for an old guy. Yesterday was a nice vacation for me.)
Anyway - am currently burning DVDs for you. :D
