Chapter is still kicking my ass. I barely have 5000 words, mostly of incoherent flailing that dissolves into point-form notes about some vague half-understanding of museology.

Also, I've developed a cold. Or I've got this weird stress-cough that means my headache-over-theory is also a headache-from-chesty-coughing.

Also, everyone's gone away for Easter (including the BF) but my flatmate's BF is here for the week (from the Continent, oooooh) so there's noone around but also guests around.

*grump*

Please send motivation, or fic, or an extra week before I have to give a talk from this damned chapter. (ie I have one week to create the damned chapter and make it into a 40 minute talk)

You've seen this, right? (It counts as motivation because, um, you really don't want Big Bird to have to come kick your ass like he did that Egyptian god. Yes.)

In case you have seen that, here is this. Don't let Ten frighten you off, the payoff is good.

Quick fic rec!

What Once Was Lost Returned is an amazing Loki-figures-himself-out story that pretty much drops Avengers Loki into classic Norse mythology. Long enough to develop well, but short enough that it won't eat away an afternoon of productivity.

Even a Miracle Needs a Hand Darcy and Hawkeye pretend to be in a relationship for Darcy's family at Chrismas. Seasonally inapropriate but short and delicious.

I may have shown you this before, but it makes me giggle Every. Single. Time.

That clip is basically a glimpse behind the scenes IN THE WORST WAY POSSIBLE. FFS, designers usually pay more attention to the health and safety of performers and technicians. Or maybe Opera designers get to say screw basic comfort! *squintyeyes*

(I'd still love to wander around that set, though.)

Bah, I used the old embed code but it still didn't work so here's the vid that always makes me happy.

And epic Doctor Who vid to 30 Seconds to Mars' "Hurricane". (spoilers for most current seasons of DW).

Also, I love that SuperWhoLock is a thing.
