charloweenThe good thing about getting a weekly veg box delivery is all the lovely, in-season veg (and fruit!) that shows up every week.
The danger of getting a weekly veg box delivery is that you get lulled into thinking you've gone grocery shopping. In fact, all that's happened is a man showed up on Tuesday morning with a butternut squash and some plums.
However, it means today's breakfast is roasted asparagus and poached egg, and the heels of a loaf of bread I found at the back of the freezer (...and plums).
(I've already amended next week's delivery to include, like, cereal.)
ETA: I can report with pride that those silicone Poachpod[tm] things work like a charm. I've had one for a few years now but never got around to trying it. Or poaching an egg by any means. This morning's breakfast was my first try. It was dandy. And because the water I'd boiled had no eggy bits, I used that to wash the breakfast dishes.
