Let me tell you about a few awesome inventions. I've fallen in love with these little friends of mine, and would marry them and have little mutated babies with them, were such things physiologically possible. Or even probable.

First: my wireless keyboard and mouse. I'm not sure when the novelty will get old, but it's been a month and the honeymoon is still in full force. It doesn't hurt that I picked up these babies on sale during boxing day and they barely cost anything at all. But at any price, man... nothing beats writing papers, surfing das intarweb, and any number of other computer-based activities while curled up on your bed-couch (it's a very small room, and the one piece of furniture does double duty).

Why, this very morning I watched the last two weeks' worth of Colbert (Harriet Tubman on a space train!) without moving from my couch. No hopping up between episodes for me, no... I was even able to download more Colbert from the comfort and safety of the bed-couch. WIN.

The other dynamic pairing I have to praise is the less technologically sophisticated but still formidable duo of teapot and tea-ball-thingie. What's its right name? You shove tea in it, and it makes tea, and it's ball-shaped. You know, the thing that Krycek had in that first scene where you saw him with his prosthetic arm? That thing.

Another boon to the movement-disinclined, these wonderful things mean I can brew up to five cups of tea and keep it warm for hours. No one-cup-at-a-time brewing for me, not anymore. I have my pot of tea. I have my happy little mug. I have the power.

......and last night I went to the AGO with a bunch of friends and friends-of-friends and a good time was had by all. Tonight is the New Pornographers free show in Nathan Phillips/Fillion Square. 8pm, right outside of Raccoon City Toronto City Hall. Be there!

There's a light dusting of snow on the car that I can see from my window. *blink* I'm unsure of what I'm looking for.

On the way home from the AMC at Jane and the 407 with my parents, it was like driving in a milk bottle - it was snowing so muhc. Not cool.

Huh. It was pretty clear down here.

But then, it's not like it ever snows downtown. There's too much car exhaust for snow to happen.

The snow gets trapped on the layer of smog and pollution.

And sadly, it is much too polluted for Captain Planet to do anything about it.

Yeah, the Smoggies got here first.
