And so it shall be!

Two things about Heroes:
1.
philthe25th pointed out that when Peter's in jail in Odessa, he (Peter) has a dream/nightmare/vision where Nathan turns into Sylar. Foreshadowing? (And also: now we have an explanation about why Sylar would paint the crazy hyper-colour version of the Nathan-in-the-White-House.)
2. I found this ficlet/meta-thing scribbled on the back of a pay stub. It dates from last December but I just found it again yesterday. I share it with you now: Peter has two bank accounts. One he uses daily - his paycheque goes there, he pays the rent, buys groceries and gets rolls of quarters for the laundromat from that account. His brother set up the other one when Peter moved out, and pays into it every month. It's ridiculous to get an allowance at 26. The first time he touches that money is to buy a one-way plane ticket for Odessa, Texas. This is how Nathan knows exactly where to find him.
Two things about this weekend:
1. Friday I went with
amyisyellow to see the video that
vulgus produced. The video turned out well, and you can head to West 49 and either (I'm a bit fuzzy on this; b/c of free beer @ the party) see the video in-store or grab a copy on DVD to take home. Also one of the rooms at this club had fake fur on the walls. Crazy.
2. The one Saturday this year where I don't have any homework was spent going to the hardware store (tee-hee, Shallow Grave), talking with roommates about getting a kitten (KITTY!), being told by roommates that "Lamp" or "Cow" or "Light Bulb" are not appropriate names for a kitten, meeting the
aoshi and
psychomax and friends crew for a really really tasty dinner and wandering of the streets. We wandered through the Marijuana Festival at Queen's Park (non-Ontarians: that's the park that abuts the seat of our provincial parliament) and emerged unscathed, wandered through comic book shops and weren't so lucky (*snuggles B.P.R.D.*), and wandered down to Brandon, who had smoothies. And all was good.
Two things about today:
1. Today will contain clothes shopping.
2. Today will contain watching of SPN and Durham County and then probably a little Doctor Who to bring my mood back up. Because SPN and DC? Heavy, man.
EDIT: One more thing about Heroes: In the Peter vs Sylar thing, Peter had fire!hands (SO. COOL!), and that one Entertainment Weekly cover has a dead-eyed Mohinder, a yummy HRG and an adorably *buh?*-faced Peter-with-fire!hands.
So. Peter. Fire!hands. The question is: when and where did he meet Liz Sherman? OMG CROSSOVER!And/or Claire's biomom?

Order? Whatever. Coherent sentences? Whatever.
Date: 2007-05-07 03:24 am (UTC)KITTY! Pictures, once you actually get the furball? And I vote for "Light Bulb," which is clearly an appropriate kitten name.
And speaking of kittens, I'm thinking I'm going to cover the walls of my room in fake fur. Actually, not. Fur walls!?
And finally, the Marijuana Festival? That's... special. Also, illegal?
(Also, a new cray!Daniel icon!)

Date: 2007-05-07 05:11 pm (UTC)WHEN ARE YOU COMING TO CANADA? (no, I'm not at work, why do you ask?)
(no subject)
Date: 2007-05-08 10:58 pm (UTC)And Deranged!Danny = Awesome!Danny. Ok, pretty much all Danny is Awesome!Danny. Hey! I caluculated last night that I've watched just over 6 days of Stargate since the begining of December. *snerk*
Also, plans for a summer Canada trip are on hold until I find out what role I ended up with in this summer's show. See, if (by some crazy chance) I end up with the lead, traveling to Canada for a week or so prolly won't fly. On the other (faaaar more likely) hand, if I end up with a far smaller role, Canada this summer is a possibility. The next hurdle is convincing the mother that you aren't a murderer/rapist/kidnapper/soul stealing evil demon and that I'll be perfectly safe. In Canada. I should hear about casting tomorrow? Thursday? Hopefully by the end of the week.
I only speak the finest fake French.
Date: 2007-05-09 12:01 am (UTC)I'd point and laugh at you about the Stargate but then I'd have to remember I've seen just as much, some of them more than once (twice, six times). But not since December. That there is a special kind of awesome. :)
I see that I'm stuck in the place where I want to wish you well for the summer show (because being the lead = good) and want to wish you ill (because me = selfish!). If your mother is concerned, show her the pictures I recently posted of myself in my facebook, the ones in the box. Maybe not the sanest of lasses, but not really a threat, either. Whichever way it all falls out, your summer certainly sounds like it'll be an interesting one.
(I've finally finished and am now uploading my Nathan/Peter Heroes fanmix! YAY!)

Date: 2007-05-07 05:07 pm (UTC)And the clothing shopping was kind of a bust. I got socks. We were talking afterward, and decided that all those people who blame fashion magazines for eating disorders are full of crap because it's clothes shopping that is the most depressing and demoralizing thing, and certainly negatively affects body image. Seriously. I couldn't find a cute summer top to save my life: everything either made me look pregnant (which I'm not) or like a titless 11-year-old (which, okay, I'm a bit smaller there). *seethes* The saga continues. I'm going to head back to TEH GAP (*shock*) and try on some stuff there that I didn't try on before. Le sigh.
And the kitteh didn't happen either, because all they had at the humane society were old tired cats, and no little ones. They (my roommates) may have to go outside the humane society to get their kitteh... but that's up to them. I'll keep trying to convince them to name the eventual but still theoretical kitteh after stuff you can find at a hardware store. Or maybe just call her "Hardware Store".
Good luck on your exam... and haven't heard from you in a while (like, a week, SHUT UP), what's up? I asked Tina about who you'd want to contact to get info about grad theatre at York, and can shoot along those numbers if you don't already have them.
We apologize for this commenter's utter absurdity this evening. Espresso does that.
Date: 2007-05-09 02:52 am (UTC)Owner: I'm really looking to create a welcoming, comfortable environment that's still totally hip.
Designer 1: Welcoming? Comfortable? In that case, you'll want to go with images and textures that people are familiar with, like puppy dogs and flannel.
Designer 2: But to be hip, you've got to be edgy. Do what no one else has the guts or brains to do. Get creative!
Owner: But how do I do what no one else has done with "images and textures that people are familiar with"?
Designer 1: ...
Designer 2: ...
Owner: I know! FUR WALLS!
Socks! But socks are wonderful (only in the winter. Summer requires bare feet)! Hey, you could sew them all together and make a pretty dress? And I agree- clothes shopping is a scary, scary thing. I've a tendency to try on a handful of pieces, decide they're all nice enough but I don't really need them, and leave empty handed. Though being threatened with Grievous Bodily Harm by
titless 11-year-old. BWAHAHAHAHA. I'm right there with you on that one. This whole
burlapcotton sack shirt style with the scrunched bottom? Not so good.I've gotten sucked into schoolwork lately. Ok, that's not quite fair. I faffed around all last week, spending hours reading on the quad. So now I'm catching up on everything that's due between now and Thursday, when I'll be going home! Yay!
Also, I'll have you know I'm listening to "Red Rover" right now. Love, you've created a monster!

Date: 2007-05-15 01:31 am (UTC)10-4 on stoopid clothing. But I'm wearing hot pink summer socks right now and they're pretty cool. And I can never find anything to try on that fits me right. Argh, etc.
...shall I bring you some TV on disc this weekend? *eyebrow waggle*
